Halk TV, Turkey’s main private opposition channel, was raided and shut down in Istanbul, with a state-appointed trustee taking control after a 6:30 AM police operation. Prosecutors cited bribery, tender-rigging and money-laundering allegations, while 11 people were detained and the channel and owner called it an attack on democracy.
