President Trump announced a deal temporarily lifting sanctions so Russia can immediately supply more than 300,000 metric tons of diesel to US and global markets. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the move would benefit Moscow’s war effort, while the average US diesel price was $6.28 a gallon.
