Mayor Zohran Mamdani called for an end to federal immigration enforcement in New York City after an ICE officer shot and wounded 28-year-old Oscar Belgal in the Bronx during what the Department of Homeland Security described as a targeted operation. Belgal’s five-year-old child was unharmed.
