Riot police confronted protesters in Paris with batons and tear gas as about 250,000 people demonstrated across France for more education funding, staffing, and building repairs. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said more than 200 students and dozens of staff were injured, while rights groups and unions criticized arrests and alleged police violence.
