Skia, a six-year-old black Labrador working at low tide on Scotland’s west coast, was named Animal of the Year by a UK charity. She detects invasive carpet sea squirts, also called sea vomit, by scent under seaweed, helping find creatures that can smother native wildlife and damage marine environments and economies.
