Scientists from Scotland and Japan plan to send 10 milliliters of whiskey and wood chips into orbit to study whether fluctuating temperatures and faster day-and-night cycles accelerate ageing and alter flavour. The CubeSat experiment, led in part by the University of Glasgow, will also examine producing ethanol in space for future drugs and other manufacturing.
