NASA's Perseverance rover has traveled 28.1 miles on Mars, more than any rover before it, after landing on Mars in Jezero crater in 2021 to investigate whether life once existed. The car-sized rover paused to document light-colored rocks and could travel roughly 30 miles or more, depending on future stops.
