Prototype from anywhere, in the cloud
Ideas from anywhere
Someone can be anywhere, even far from a computer, describe what a team is working on, and let ChatGPT Work spend the time to come back with a really great artifact. The result is an idea visualized well enough to take to the team before it goes any further.
Faster visuals
Less time goes to the pixels now. The early part of design, riffing on ideas, gets visual quickly this way, in ChatGPT Work or Codex.
Operations help
The operations side gets the same help: checking that important Slack messages needing a follow-up are summarized, and giving context before important meetings or for recruiting.
How do cloud agents work in the background?
A cloud agent runs on remote servers instead of on the user's own device, so the work continues after a phone locks or a laptop closes. Each task typically gets an isolated environment, such as a virtual machine or a container, where the agent can run code and open files. The result is delivered when the task finishes. Once a task starts, it does not depend on the user's battery or connection.
Why do visual drafts speed up team decisions?
A mockup gives everyone the same concrete object to react to, so people stop imagining different versions of a written description. Donald Schön described designers working in a cycle of seeing, drawing, and seeing again in his 1983 book The Reflective Practitioner. Each drawing lets a designer notice what the idea implies. Teams use the same cycle when they react to a shared draft.
