Not all Delta One seats are the same

The 767-300 seats are still rather outdated, while the A330-900neo and 767-400ER offer versions of the newest suites.

Book a domestic flight with Delta One lie-flat seats and what you get depends largely on the plane.

Delta occasionally uses its long-haul aircraft on domestic routes, and cabins differ by subtype. Delta puts its latest suites on the Airbus A330-900neo. Earlier A330s keep reverse-herringbone seats, seats set at an angle to the aisle, without every feature of the latest suites, though they still lie flat.

On the Boeing 767, the experience also differs by subtype. Delta updated its 767-400ER jets with a version of its suites that is quite similar to the suites on its other widebody jets, except it has no closing door. The 767-300 received a refresh, yet the seats remain old-fashioned, and Delta has not posted any recent photos of that business-class interior.

Questions people ask

What does reverse-herringbone mean?

It is an older business-class layout with seats set at an angle to the aisle. Those seats still lie flat but lack some features of the newest suites.
