On future United long-haul flights, an economy passenger will be able to buy an entire row that turns into a bed for stretching out flat.

The airline calls it United Relax Row, and says it is the first sky couch concept offered by a North American carrier. A sky couch means the whole row is yours to use as a couch or bed, instead of as three separate seats.

The airline says service is scheduled to start in 2027, with installation across more than 200 Boeing 787s and 777s by 2030. United has not yet said what it will charge.
