Witness says Oswald's package was too small to hold the rifle
Oswald said it held curtain rods, Frazier recalls; he says he measured that type of rifle and found it would not fit.

Who Killed JFK? · 11/22/63Frazier says the package Lee Harvey Oswald carried on the morning of Nov. 22, 1963, was too small to hold the rifle Oswald supposedly used. Nobody knows for sure what was in it.
Buell Frazier, then 19, often drove Oswald to work. That morning Oswald put a package "on the back seat on the passenger side," Frazier said. Oswald said it held curtain rods, which he had talked about the day before.
Interviewed in 2023, Frazier said his friend Josiah Thompson has the same type of Italian rifle Oswald allegedly used. They measured the stock and the barrel, Frazier said, and "There's no way that it would fit in the package that was on the back seat of my car."
That made him feel good, Frazier said, because many people had said he had not told the truth about the package. He said he had told all he knows.
