You Can Draft a Fantasy Football Team Over Several Days
Slow drafts allow up to 24 hours per pick, with an eight-hour clock and overnight pause as LordSkunk's standard setup.

You do not have to meet live to draft a fantasy football team. On Sleeper, a fantasy football platform, leagues can use a slow draft that plays out over days instead of a 90-second live clock.
LordSkunk, founder and commissioner of No Guts No Glory fantasy leagues, uses an eight-hour clock with an overnight pause as his usual setup, since managers can pick from anywhere and do not need to reserve an evening.
The slow-draft clock can be set from one hour to 24 hours per pick. Managers protect themselves by stacking three to five preferred players in a queue, and if time expires the pick comes from the queue automatically.
Questions people ask
How long does an eight-hour slow draft actually take?
It depends on how fast managers pick. The arithmetic is 180 picks, such as 12 teams drafting 15 players each, at up to eight hours per pick, so the draft could run for many days if everyone used the full clock but finishes much faster when managers pick quickly.
What is Sleeper?
It is a fantasy sports app built first for phones. Leagues manage rosters, chats, drafts, waivers, and trades inside the app, and it supports formats such as redraft, keeper, dynasty, and best ball.
What is the queue in the draft room?
You list the next three to five players you want, in order. When your turn comes, you can pick directly, and if time expires, the system takes the highest player left on your list.
